Tracking your time of the month isn’t just for baby making. If you want to avoid pain, you may want to start watching the calendar.
During your menstrual cycle, you may find that getting a wax or going to the dentist hurts more than usual. That is because endorphines and estrogen levels, the body’s natural pain-killers, decrease during menstruation resulting in a lower pain tolerance.
Your estrogen levels and body’s painkiller system peak when you are ovulating (usually days 13 through 15) so consider making painful appointments during that time.
And since you are probably putting your appointments in your phone, it may be easier for you to track your cycle in your phone too. There are lots of apps out there to make tracking your time of the month super easy!
